Lemon AID Project
I founded LemonAID in 2017 as a way to turn something small, like a lemonade stand, into something powerful. What began as a grassroots effort to raise money for kids in La Romana’s bateyes has grown into a community-led nonprofit that’s built playgrounds, baseball fields, and provided essentials like food, water, clothes, and school supplies.

Mission Statement
LemonAID is rooted in the belief that every child deserves joy, safety, and opportunity—no matter where they’re born. We work to support underserved communities in La Romana, DR through hands-on fundraising and local collaboration.
Impact Snapshot
✦ 2 playgrounds built
✦ 1 baseball field funded
✦ Over 200+ mattresses, backpacks, and care kits distributed
✦ Clean water provided to 3 bateyes
✦ 8+ years of direct outreach and fundraising

Why I Started It
I grew up in the Dominican Republic, surrounded by the beauty and struggle of life in underfunded towns. The resilience of the kids in the bateyes, and the lack of basic resources, moved me deeply. I didn’t have much, but I had time, energy, and a lemonade stand. That’s how LemonAID began, just a small act of care that’s grown into something bigger.
What’s Next
We're currently dreaming up our next project, focused on building safe community gathering spaces for youth in La Romana.
